> about me

My name is Julia Camron. I have been involved in the theatre from the age of eight when I appeared in a local production of The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe in Plymouth.

My interest continued throughout my school years, winning speech and drama competitions, chairing the school public speaking team and gaining Lamda qualifications, as well appearing in productions at the local theatre. At eighteen I followed careers advice and went to medical school in Leeds, rather than following my passion. I graduated and started down the road of surgical training. However, it rapidly became apparent that the operating theatre was the wrong type of theatre for me. So I used my medical career as a means to fund my attendance at Bretton Hall, where I studied drama for three years.

After working successfully as an actor in the North of England for a year, I decided to further my training at the London Centre for Theatre Studies in London with the Actors Company, where I worked with and learned from some amazing individuals with many years of expertise in their fields. It confirmed my belief that acting is a continuous process of learning and discovery that I hope will last a lifetime.
